If the tenancy renewal process has been started but the details now need to be removed - for example, the tenant has changed their mind - you can delete the renewal details from the tenancy record. This applies in either of these situations:

  • The tenancy has been set to not renewing but now needs to be renewed
  • The tenancy has started to be renewed but now needs to be set to not renewing

Follow the steps below to remove the renewal details from a tenancy record.

  1. Click the Residential Lettings department tab
  2. Click Tenancies on the main homebar
  3. Search for the relevant tenancy in the Find bar and click Go. Click View on the relevant record
    1. Alternatively, find and click the relevant property or tenant name from within the Last Viewed section
  4. On the tenancy Summary tab, click Special Actions
  5. Click Delete Renewal Details
  6. The Delete Renewal Intention Details tickbox will be ticked and greyed out. Enter Your Deletion Code into the field to confirm the action
  7. Click Confirm Delete

A green flag appears confirming that the renewal details have been removed from the tenancy, and the Renewal tab is removed from the tenancy record.

To start a new renewal, click Start Renewal Process. For more information, see Renewing a tenancy.
