To see when your safety certificates are up for renewal, there is an option on your dashboard called Safety certificates due in next 30 days.
From here, you can start the book maintenance job and certificate renewal process.
- Click the Residential Lettings department tab
- Click Home on the main homebar
- On My Dashboard, scroll down to Property Management. Alongside Safety certificates due in next 30 days, click the number (or Overdue)
- A list of safety certificates that are due for renewal (or overdue) appears. Use the quick filter options in the left panel or the Refine Search option in the top right for further options to narrow your results. Then, click View on the relevant property record
- The Property Management tab of the property record opens. Scroll down to the Safety Certificates section and on the most recent Expired safety certificate, click Actions, then click Mark Landlord As Notified
- Once the landlord is notified whether by email or phone, you can click Actions once more, then click Book Maintenance Job
- The Book Safety Certificate Maintenance Job page opens, pulling through the details of the contractor that did the job last time. If you plan on using the same contractor, you can leave it as is, or you can click Remove Contact to select and complete the details of a different contractor.
Use the calendar alongside Date Scheduled to choose the booking date - Click Save
At the point the maintenance job is complete, you can navigate back to the Property Management tab of the property record.
- Alongside the most recent Expired safety certificate, click Actions, then View Maintenance Job.
Alternatively, it'll also be listed in the above Maintenance Jobs section from which you can click View - Click Completed to confirm the maintenance job has been carried out
- Use the calendar alongside Date Completed to select when the maintenance job was completed
- Then, in the section below, use the calendar alongside Safety Certificate Expiry Date to select the expiry date of the new certificate
- Click Choose file to Upload the Safety Certificate
- Click Save
With the process complete, you'll now see that the new safety certificate has been added to the property record in the Safety Certificates section.
