Question:
How do I set up an IP restriction so a user cannot access Jupix outside of the office?
Solution:
Jupix can enable IP based restrictions for the Agency users. This will enable additional security to the accounts and allow the login to the accounts only from the defined IP Ranges. When IP restrictions are enabled for an account, and the user tries to login from a different IP Range, the user gets the following error message:
You are not permitted to login from this location.
To enable this functionality, Jupix will need to be provided with the STATIC IP address (or ranges) for the Agency. You can locate your current IP address by visiting the url http://whatismyipaddress.com/ in your browser.
Once you have the IP address, you will need to click Submit a request and use the contact form at the bottom of this article, to log a support ticket, so that this can be updated on the account.
We would also need to know which users the IP restriction should be applied to.
The instruction to add the IP restriction will need to come from a Director/Partner/Manager.
*NB IP Restriction does not apply to Mobile Diary access.
