Occasionally, when you upload images to a property record, they may appear in the wrong orientation, i.e. the wrong way round or upside down.

This article includes:

Amending the orientation of a portrait image

When uploading a portrait image, depending on the settings that were selected when saving the image on the camera, sometimes Windows defaults to displaying it as a landscape image by turning the image on its side.

To rectify this, you'll need to rotate the selected image.

  1. Click Property on the main homebar
  2. Search for the relevant property in the Find bar and click Go. Click View on the relevant record
    1. Alternatively, find and click the relevant property from within the Last Viewed section
  3. Click the Media tab
  4. In the Photos section, click Edit below the relevant photo
  5. Click Download Original
  6. Right click on the image and click Save picture as
  7. Save the image to your desktop
  8. Open the image in Paint and click Rotate to rotate it the correct way round
  9. Once rotated, click Save
  10. On Jupix, click Upload New Photos
  11. Select the correct image and click Save
  12. Click Delete on the incorrect image
  13. Type in the 4 digit Deletion Code in the Please Enter Code field and click Confirm Delete

Amending the orientation of the original image

If you've just uploaded images to a property record and they're showing the wrong way up, this is due to a setting in Windows which is trying to read the photo in a way it believes it should appear.

To rectify this, you'll need to open the original photo on your computer.

  1. Right-click on them as they appear in your Pictures folder, or wherever else you have them saved
  2. Click Rotate left or Rotate right
    1. Alternatively, click Edit with Photos
    2. Once open, click Rotate or Flip, as required
    3. Click Save or Save a copy

When you re-upload the image to the property in Jupix, it'll now appear the correct way up.
