- ActiveX isn't working - amend your Image Uploader Preferences
- Install the correct version of Java
- Java application blocked - update your Java security settings
Enable Internet Explorer mode
It may be that you're not using Microsoft Edge or haven't got Internet Explorer mode enabled within Microsoft Edge.
Follow the steps in Using Jupix in Microsoft Edge (in Internet Explorer mode), to fix this.
ActiveX isn't working - amend your Image Uploader Preferences
If you find that ActiveX isn't working or you're having trouble uploading photos with the image uploader, you're able to amend your Image Uploader Preferences to either Java, Original or Basic, so that you can continue to upload property photos.
- On the Jupix Home screen, click Your Account (xxxx Account) at the top left of your screen
- Scroll down to the Image Uploader Preferences section. In the Default Image Uploader dropdown menu, either click Java, Original or Basic
- Click Save
Java works the same way as ActiveX and so when you're uploading photos, you can select multiple photos at one time, from a single file.

If you selected Basic, when you click Upload New Photos, the Basic uploader will ask for you to click Browse and search for each image individually, before uploading them.
Install the correct version of Java
If you find the image uploader is stuck on a spinning wheel and not loading, it might mean that you need to install the correct version of Java.
- If you already have Java installed on your device, you may have a more modern version that isn't compatible with Jupix. You'll need to uninstall this version
- Download the correct version of Java from the following link: click here
- Click Download. This may open automatically but if not, left click the file in the bottom left to open it
- A pop up message appears asking if you want to Run, Save or Cancel the Java download installer. Click Run
- You may have a Windows Access Control window appear asking Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?. Click Yes
- When you see the Java Setup - Welcome window, click Install
- Once finished, the window will state You have successfully installed Java, and you can then click Close
To ensure that the changes made take effect, restart your browser and go back into Jupix.
You can head back to your property and try to upload your photos again.
Note
You may see a pop up window saying Your Java version is out of date. It's important not to update this as Jupix runs on an older version of Java. Click Do not ask again until the next update is available and then click Later. This will stop the pop up window appearing every time you use the image uploader
