In some cases, you will need to enter credentials in order to download, open and save documents in Jupix. For example:
- When downloading The Letting Centre (TLC) documents from Edit Documents (see Stage 2)
OR - You may be asked to login when trying to open/download documents (see Stage 3)
- Your documents may open (as Read Only) and Word may prompt you to save a document locally to your PC (see Stage 1 and Stage 2)
- You may receive an error message when trying to save a document stating Word did not save the document (see Stage 1 and Stage 2)
Equally, you may need to configure some settings in Word to ensure your documents open in the first place (see Standard Word settings).
Stage 1
To resolve any of the above saving issues, you need to prompt Jupix to ask for your credentials when opening a document. To do this:
- On the Jupix Home screen, click Your Account (xxxx Account) at the top left of your screen
- Scroll down to the Document Preferences section. Ensure the tickbox next to Use Legacy Documents is ticked
- Click Save
Stage 2
These credentials can be saved within the Credential Manager on your computer to avoid having to type them each time a document is opened.
To get to the Credential Manager:
- Search Credential Manager from the search bar on your computers Start Menu
- From the Credential Manager, click on Windows Credentials
- Click Add a generic credential
- You will need to type in the following as shown below:
- Internet or network address: documents-cloud.jupix.co.uk
- User name: YourJupixUsername@YourCompanyUsername
- Password: Your Jupix login password
- Click OK
- Return to Jupix. Click on your account settings under Home
- Scroll down to the Security Details section. Retype your Jupix password in the 2 password fields
- Click Save
Now when you open a document, a credential box will appear with your details auto filled. You can click OK to open the document.
Stage 3
If when you're trying to open a document or a letter you get asked to add in your credentials, it may be that you're not using Microsoft Edge or haven't got Internet Explorer mode enabled within Microsoft Edge.
Follow the steps in Using Jupix in Microsoft Edge (in Internet Explorer mode), to fix this.
If you're still being asked for document credentials at this stage:
- On the Jupix Home screen, click Your Account (xxxx Account) at the top left of your screen
- Scroll down to the Document Preferences section. Ensure the tickbox next to Use Legacy Documents is NOT ticked
- Click Save
There are a few Jupix accounts with older versions of Word that need this box ticked (as per Stage 1) in order to save document changes, but for most accounts, this box can be unticked and this should solve the credentials problem.
Standard Word settings
- Open Word from your PC
