Editing landlord and tenant bank account details

For security purposes, the ability to edit bank account details for landlords and tenants is a permission that can be added to your user account in Jupix.

 Note

You need to have both bank account permissions - View Bank Account Details and Edit Contact Bank Accounts, to complete this process.

This article includes: 

Bank information required in Jupix

  • Reference Number – Only if paying by BACS
  • Account Description – This is to differentiate accounts where a landlord may have multiple bank accounts. You will require a description so in normal circumstances, use rent for ease
  • Bank Name – Barclays, HSBC etc
  • Sort Code – Add a a six-digit sort code number without dashes, hyphens, or spaces
  • Account Number – The standard account number is eight digits, however, you can add up to sixteen digits for non standard account numbers
  • Account In The Name Of – Landlord account name
  • Beneficiary ID – These are given out by some banks to help further identify people you pay regularly and are only for BACS payments. If you haven't received a Beneficiary ID from your bank, you should leave this field blank

Editing landlord bank account details

  1. Click Landlords on the main homebar
  2. Search for the relevant landlord in the Find bar and click Go. Click View on the relevant record
    1. Alternatively, find and click the relevant landlord from within the Last Viewed section
  3. Click the Landlord Ledgers tab
  4. Click the relevant landlord ledger
  5. Scroll down to the Payment Details section and click Edit Payment Details
    (If Payment Details is presented closed, to open it, click the triangle to the left of the heading)
  6. Enter the relevant payment details and bank account details
    (A warning flag appears if you don't have the correct user permissions)
  7. Click Save

Editing tenant bank account details

  1. Click Tenancies on the main homebar
  2. Search for the relevant tenancy in the Find bar and click Go. Click View on the relevant record
    1. Alternatively, find and click the relevant tenancy from within the Last Viewed section
  3. Click the Tenant Ledger tab
  4. Click View alongside the relevant tenants name
  5. Scroll down to the Bank Accounts section and click Add Bank Account if no bank details have been recorded yet
  6. Enter the relevant Bank Details and Bank Address
    1. Alternatively, click Edit if you need to amend the existing bank account details
  7. Click Save
