The steps below outline how to resolve the instance where you have created a new property brochure and the brochure template is displaying the EPC merge tag rather than the intended EPC graph.

In addition, it also covers how to generate an EPC graph, resize the EPC graph and add multiple EPC graphs.

This article includes:

Checking an EPC graph has been uploaded to the property record in the correct format

 Note

EPC graph issues mainly stem from the type of format that the EPC file has been uploaded in, on the property record

  1. Click Property on the main homebar
  2. Search for the relevant property in the Find bar and click Go. Click View on the relevant record
    1. Alternatively, find and click the relevant property from within the Last Viewed section
  3. Click the Media tab
  4. Scroll down to the EPC section. Ensure that an EPC graph has been uploaded to this section, rather than the full EPC report (a full EPC report cannot be merged onto your brochure template)

Creating an EPC graph that will upload to the brochure template

  1. Select any of the free EPC generators that are available to use online, to generate an EPC graph
  2. The EPC graph needs to be saved as a .jpeg image file prior to uploading into Jupix, for it to merge on to the brochure

How to upload a .jpeg EPC graph in Jupix

  1. Click Property on the main homebar
  2. Search for the relevant property in the Find bar and click Go. Click View on the relevant record
    1. Alternatively, find and click the relevant property from within the Last Viewed section
  3. Click the Media tab
  4. Scroll down to the EPC section and click Upload EPC Media
  5. In the Media section, click the relevant EPC Media Type you are going to use. In this instance, click EPC Graph
  6. Alongside EPC File, click Browse
  7. Select the relevant EPC graph that you have generated and click Open
  8. In the EPC Graph Units section, check that the correct rating values have been entered. If not, manually enter them
  9. Click Save to upload the graph to Jupix

If you generate your property brochure again, the EPC graph should now be present.

What if the EPC graph image is being cropped on the property brochure

The Jupix master brochure template is designed to include both EPC graphs; the Energy Efficiency Graph and the Environmental Impact Graph.

Cropping can occur if you are uploading just the Energy Efficiency Graph. You have 2 options to rectify this issue:

  • If you would normally upload both EPC graphs and it's only occasionally that you would only use the Energy Efficiency Graph - In this instance, you'll need to resize the EPC text box on this specific property brochure
  • If you would normally only upload the Energy Efficiency Graph rather than both EPC graphs - You can amend the master brochure template so that you don't have to edit the EPC section every time you create a property brochure

 Note

You'll need to have Brochure Editing user permissions enabled to be able to edit brochures in Jupix

Resizing the EPC so that it fits and appears correctly on the brochure

  1. Ensure that you have opened the relevant property brochure in Microsoft Word rather than .pdf format so that you are able to Edit the brochure
  2. Locate the EPC image and click on it
  3. The image will be selected. Click on one of the corners of the EPC frame and drag it to scale and fit the Word box the EPC merged in to

Displaying several different EPC graphs on one brochure

You'll need to add and resize additional EPC graphs manually into the Word property brochure.
