Follow the instructions below to add a new market appraisal to Jupix

Booking a new market appraisal from the Home screen
- Go to the Home screen of the relevant department you are wanting to add the property appraisal to
- Go to the side menu Create New section
- Click New Market Appraisal
- The Book Market Appraisal screen will open
- Ensure the Type Market Appraisal is selected
Choose owner section
This is where you add the property owners name, contact address and other relevant contact information
Owner with an existing record in Jupix
- If the owner has an existing record in Jupix enter the name into the Owner Name box, a list of possible matches will appear, If no list appears then check by using the Search button
- Select the relevant owner record
Add a new owner record
- If the owner does not have an existing record click Add New Owner
- Enter the relevant owner contact details

Property details section
This section is where you add the address of the property that is to be appraised and as much information about the property and owners motivation as possible
- Scroll down to Property Details
- If you click the underlined User Owner Correspondence Address this will populate the address from the owner’s record
- If the property to be appraised has a different address from the owner's enter the relevant property details
- Click Set Display Address to select the display address that will feed through to portals and on email alerts
- Use Allocated Office dropdown to select the correct office this property is to be allocated to
- Select the Match Area click here System administration for more information on setting up match areas
- Scroll down and add any relevant Directions to the property
Property composition section
- Complete the property Composition with as much information as you have at this point
- The information that is entered here will pull through onto the market appraisal form that can be printed from Jupix
- Click Look Up Band, Jupix will open the Directgov Search the council tax valuation list that shows the property council tax band
- Complete the appraisal details sections and complete the Background Questions section that will also pull through to the market appraisal form that can be printed from Jupix
- Scroll down to Event Details
Event details section
This section is where you book the appraisal appointment into the Jupix diary
- Click Select date and time from diary button
- The Jupix diary screen will open
- If required change the diary, using the Choose View side menu
- Use the calendar to select the relevant date
- Click onto the relevant appraiser's diary column at the relevant time that the appraisal is to take place
- You will now be back on the Book Market Appraisal screen
- Check the Start Date is correct, use the calendar box to amend if required
- Check the Start Time is correct, use the dropdown to amend if needed
- Check the End Time is correct, use the dropdown to amend as needed
- Check the Attending Staff is correct, use Remove and Add User if required
- If a Popup Reminder is required on the appraiser's screen then use the dropdown to select this
- Add any relevant Booking Notes, these will appear in the Jupix diary appointment
- Scroll down to the Confirmation Section
- Use the Confirmed tickboxes to confirm the appraisal appointment
- Once confirmed with the owner and the attendee the tickboxes under Email Confirmation and Text Reminder will be available to you (an email confirmation, if selected, will be sent when Save is clicked and the text reminder will automatically be sent one hour before the appraisal appointment is to take place)
- Click Save
Note
If you are not able to confirm with the owner and the attendee at the time of adding the market appraisal to Jupix, you and the appraisal attendee will see reminders that the appraisal is not yet confirmed on the relevant department Home screen both on the My Unconfirmed Appointments section and the Appraisals Not Confirmed section of the Dashboard
The Market Appraisal is now booked
To find the appraisal once added to Jupix you can either go to the diary and click on the relevant appointment to open the appraisal details or you can go to
- Appraisals in the main homebar
- Select Appraisals booked for the future
- This will open a list of upcoming appraisals
- On the relevant appraisal click the red View to open
From the Appraisal record, you can now click the Print Market Appraisal Sheet button and you can also select Comparable Tools on the top tabs
Once the date and time of the appraisal appointment has passed a reminder to follow up this appraisal can be found on the relevant department Home screen on the Dashboard Appraisal letters outstanding
Book from Appraisals
- Select the relevant department Home screen
- Click Appraisals on the main homebar
- Click Add New Market Appraisal on the Appraisals dropdown
- Now follow the process as above from Choose owner section click here
PropertyFile Plus appraisal enquiry
You can also create A Market Appraisal from the Enquiries page if an appraisal has been registered
Booking an appraisal from the diary
- Got to the Home screen
- Select Diary from the main homebar
- The Jupix diary screen will open
- If required change the diary, using the Choose View side menu
- Use the calendar to select the relevant date
- Click onto the relevant appraiser's diary column at the relevant time that the appraisal is to take place
- The New Event window will open
- On the Event Type section, it is very important that you select Market Appraisal
- The Add New Market Appraisal window will open
- On the Department section select the relevant department for this property appraisal
- Now follow the process as above from Choose owner section click here
