All users of Jupix software must have specific configuration settings entered into Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word and the Upload Centre, depending on their version of Microsoft Office, to enable Jupix to work correctly.
Instead of users having to make all of the required changes themselves we have created a file that will do this for you.
Note
Please ensure that you log out of Jupix and that all Microsoft programs, excluding Internet Explorer, are closed prior to running the Jupix Configuration File
Click the link below for Jupix Configuration File.bat, then click Run if prompted
The file will run and apply the necessary settings for you.
Once it has run, the changes will have been made. The file will prompt you to press any key to continue. Follow the instruction to close the file.
For your reference, when run, the file inserts the following settings.
Internet Explorer settings
These are based on using Internet Explorer 11.
- Open Internet Explorer
- Click the Tools menu from the title bar, or the small cog icon in the top right of your browser window
- Click Internet Options
- Go to the Security tab and click Trusted sites
- Click the Sites button
In the Websites box you will see 2 Jupix websites have been inserted as below
Once Jupix is in the Trusted Sites list in Internet Explorer, we configure the trusted sites zone to allow Jupix the extra abilities it needs to be fully functional for you. This is done through the following steps:
- Click the Security tab if you are not on the security tab
- Click Trusted sites
- Click the Custom Level button
- In the list of options that appear, the following settings need to be put in place. You will need to scroll through to find them
- Allow Scriptlets: Enabled
- Download Signed ActiveX controls: Enabled
- Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe for scripting: Enabled
- Display video and animation on a webpage that does not use an external media player: Enabled
To set Jupix to be allowed through the pop-up blocker if it is enabled in your browser, set up the following:
- Click the Privacy tab
- Click Settings in the Pop-up Blocker section
- In the Address of website to allow enter *.jupix.co.uk
- Click Add. This will add *.jupix.co.uk to the Allowed sites list
- Click Close

- Click the Privacy tab
- Click Sites
In the Managed Websites box you will see 2 Jupix websites have been inserted as below
- Click Ok to close
- Go to the Programs tab
- Ensure the HTML Editor dropdown is set to Microsoft Word
- Click Ok to close and save settings
Microsoft Word settings
- Open MS Word
- Click File on the main menu
- Click Options from the dropdown
- Go to Trust Centre on the side menu
- Click Trust Centre Settings
- Select Protected View on the side menu
- Ensure Enable protected View for Outlook attachments is the only option selected
- Select Trusted Locations on the side menu
- The file will have inserted 2 Jupix locations
- It will also have ticked Allow Trusted Locations on my network (not recommended)
Upload Centre settings
- Go to the Start menu and enter Upload
- Select Office Upload Centre, Microsoft Upload 2013 or the version of Microsoft Office you have installed
- Go to Settings
- The Days to keep files in the Office Document Cache will be set to 1
- Delete Cached Files from the Office Document Cache when they are closed will be ticked
- Click Ok to close
- The dropdown to the right of the main Upload Centre page, under Office, should be set to All Cached Files
