From adding your Opening Balances to managing your deposits throughout tenancies, you may need to check where the deposit is held. You can check this on each individual tenancy, or alternatively, all deposits can be reported on using the Deposit Held report.

Checking an individual tenancy
- Click the Residential Lettings department tab
- Click Tenancies on the main homebar
- Search for the relevant tenancy in the Find bar and click Go. Click View on the relevant record
- Alternatively, find and click the relevant tenancy from within the Last Viewed section
- Alternatively, find and click the relevant tenancy from within the Last Viewed section
- Click the Deposit tab
- In the Deposits Held section, click More Details to see where the deposit is held
Checking the Deposits Held report
- Click Reports on the main homebar
- Click the Deposits Held Report
- You will need access to Lettings Reports. Your appointed office admin will be able to grant permission to access the reports
- Refine the report by Offices
- Choose the required format, either PDF or CSV
- Click Generate
The report shows Deposits Held By Agency and Deposits Held By The DPS (Custodial). The column Deposit Location shows where the deposit is currently held.
DPS data - Ledger Audit report
- Click Reports on the main homebar
- Click the Ledger Audit Report
- You will need access to Lettings Reports. Your appointed office admin will be able to grant permission to access the reports
- In the Select Report dropdown menu, click Deposit Scheme Activity
- Use the calendar to select the Date Range From and Date Range To
- In the Select Deposit Scheme dropdown menu, click the relevant deposit scheme
- Choose the required format, either PDF or CSV
- Click Generate
The report shows all activity relating to Deposits held with the DPS including:
- Deposits held
- Deposits transferred to Landlord DPS accounts
- Deposits returned to Agent / Landlord / Tenant
