Unable to upload photos to Jupix - Java application blocked

When trying to upload photos to Jupix, you may have experienced a message stating Java Application Blocked. If so, you'll need to allow Jupix access through Java.

You must first ensure that your Java application is the correct version. You can download the correct version from here.

As certain Java updates are incompatible with the Jupix photo uploader, you may choose to disable Java updates to ensure that the correct version, as downloaded from the link above, continues to be used on your PC. To do this:

  1. Click the Windows start button in the bottom left hand corner of your computer screen
  2. Type to search for Configure Java
  3. Click Configure Java
  4. The Java Control Panel opens on the Update tab. If Check for Updates Automatically is ticked, untick this option
  5. Click Apply

You must also ensure that your Java security settings are as up to date as possible.

  1. In the Java Control Panel, click the Security tab
  2. Click Edit Site List
  3. Click Add
  4. Type the following URL in to the row - https://uploads.jupix.co.uk
  5. Click OK
  6. Go back into Jupix and close Internet Explorer to ensure that the changes made, take effect

You can now return to Jupix and try uploading new photos again.

  1. Click Property on the main homebar
  2. Search for the relevant property in the Find bar and click Go. Click View on the relevant record
    1. Alternatively, find and click the relevant property from within the Last Viewed section
  3. Click the Media tab
  4. In the Photos section, click Upload New Photos
    1. A popup message may appear in your browser asking you to Enable Java. Click Enable
  5. An Internet Explorer Security popup message appears. Tick Do not show me the warning for this program again. This stops the message appearing every time
  6. Click Allow
  7. The image uploader loads and you can now browse through your folders to find the location of the photos. Be aware that shortcut folders won't appear
  8. Tick which photo(s) you would like to upload. Multiple photos can be selected at one time
    1. A popup message may appear in your browser asking for access. Click Allow
  9. Click Send
  10. An Upload complete message appears, confirming that the photos have been uploaded
